Roots belt gripe

Postby Zalkenai » Wed Nov 27, 2002 10:54 pm

Here's what I'm wondering... For quite a while, The Roots belt was mageable. It was a very, very nice belt. Then it was made !mage
and to my knowledge, there is now nothing in the game (other than quests) that equals it.

I guess it sort of ticks me off, cause it's a real kick in the junk to those people that just never won it going to roots multiple times. Now, there's no way of getting it unless you have some remote piece of eq that someone needs.

I don't want the people that have them to get theirs downgraded, cause that just wouldn't be fair. What I would like is the reasoning behind taking it away from other people.

Yes, I know it's just a string of text, and I know it's just a few hitpoints.

It shouldn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. But this game is my only escape from reality (which I dislike greatly)
and when I play I like things to be fun and fair. That's all.

I am with Zalkenai on this one.

Hmm maybe a Bronze Citadel is a place for something that would replace demi girdles for those who didnt start playing early enough to get mageable roots belt.

Heh, what I'm really ticked about is I was playing and going to roots while this belt was still available... I just wasn't lucky enough to win one :(

But hey, maybe put something in the game that's equal to it? God response?

God response? *Laughs loudly* Have you seen _any_ god response the past months? Dozens of issues needing response, tuning or fixing have been raised.

For the purpose of this thread, I shall now elevate myself to god status for one post.

Are you listening?

I thought it was made pretty clear in the past that the gods aren't going to be responding to a lot of threads. They read these threads and they use what they read to make decisions. If you want to ask the gods questions, I bet you'd get more results with the petition command.

I get a response every time I petition. Maybe because I don't petition 30 times a day bitching about shit Image

Well, in all fairness, I always get a response when I petition as well. I just thought this would be a better forum for it rather than over petition.

But I suppose I could try it...

I don't know a single person that would petition that much, Ragorn... Or even 1/10th that much. Much less to bitch those times.

So if on the offchance you were referring to me, I can only laugh. Image

I hardly ever get a response when i petition. Of course the only time i petition is to tell Kia about how great the jets are Image He only responds after they lose, if you were wondering, so any questions you have for the gods, send me a tell, jets are in oakland monday night, i might get a response on tuesday Image

wuuuts belt was uber.

If they put it back in, it will involve a quest so painful you'll wish they hadn't.

You'd get a god response from me, if only this were not an Areas issue that I have nothing to do with. Hah. Image
