rolling a char and the pbase

Postby Turxx » Sun Jan 05, 2003 7:08 am

you know if i wasnt already familiar with this game the char roller would kill any curiousity i might have about it, when you cant roll a char worth playing in 3 hours there is something wrong. for crying out loud please do something about that. people are going to roll for the stats they want or just give up copletly and not bother rolling it, why not make good stats a little easier to get?
please

Good stats are easy to roll for. However, if you want insanely good stats without any stats that are less than sterling, you're not going to be making characters very fast. Sometimes you have to sacrifice something. I think newer players will see this right away and choose something, whereas the older veterans will keep rolling until they get their 'perfect set'.

Only someone familiar with the game would be annoyed by the char roller. Ignorance is bliss.

The question is how long that bliss will last when they notice they're getting ripped to shreds or constantly running out of movement or other problems caused by deficient stats.

*shrug* My first char (sort of) had crappy stats. His highest was 75, but I still played him and enjoyed myself until the MUD went down. Don't think I broke level 30 though...

Perfect stats are overrated.

Jegzed had 91 int naked for example.

My dorf bard in soj2 had a con of 53(?)

corth has like 91 int and 53 agi. he can't get 100 int very well AND he gets screwed in the AC and quake department. he's still l33t though!

Corth is not l33t. Corth is Corth, an enigma to the common man. Some say he is but a legend, some swear by his existance, and many claim to have seen him only after having a full fifth of the "really good stuff." The truth behind Corth may never be known, much like that of the tooth fairy, but the legend of Corth lives on.

Well, one fella came close. Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks. His eyes were like steel, cold, hard, had a shock of hair, red like the fires of Hell.

Went by the name of Corth.
