Lawal was convicted in March 2002 after the birth of her girl, Wasila, out of wedlock. An Islamic court found her guilty of adultery even though her baby was born more than two years after her divorce.

Under Islamic laws, or Shariah, adopted in a dozen predominantly Muslim northern Nigerian states, judges ordered Lawal buried up to her neck in sand and then stoned to death

yeah stuff like this makes you wonder if our race even deserves continued existence.

NO religion condones the murder of anyone, but the interpretations of zealots, nutcases and the charasmatic seeking power sure do.

and we want to give them how many billions in aid a year why?

And people wonder where the stereotypes of these religions come from... especially when the stereotypes are pretty much true.

I agree, our money would be much better spent on our own country and keeping them out of here.

I'm pretty sure human sacrifice was part of many religions, including Aztec and Babylonian.

I know where it came from. I think. He's referring to their supportive stance on a certain classic controversial issue.

No mori. Im talking about the history of catholicism. Not so much in the last 100 years or so, but the pope used to condone killing lots of people, as long as they weren't christians. Can't really consider him a zealot or extremist.
