Google: You do the math.
I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but it is friggen great.
Type any standard equation into google and it will automatically do the math. I haven't tested it with algorithms or algebra yet (though it doesn't allow '='), but it does know pi, the speed of light, force of gravity etc.
It does binary math, decimal and hex. I just think it's kool is all.

I don't get anything with yours Ambar, but I'm feeling kinda safe. The information for my phone number shows the guy who lived there before me, at the house I used to live in. We got to keep the number when we moved out, and it's in my current roomates name now... heh.

*blush*
I actually didn't even look at the number, I just cut and pasted it into google.
I was actually thinking it was pretty careless of her to give out her phone number online too...

There's an AOL threat-mail going around freaking people out. It tells them to put their phone number into google and hit "feeling lucky" (which will usually go to mapquest). It then goes on to say "ANYONE WHO HAS YOUR PHONE NUMBER CAN EASILY GET YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS AND DIRECTIONS TO YOUR HOUSE!! YOU ARE NOT SAFE!!!"
So my mom got it and flipped out, until I reminded her that for the last 20 years, you could call information and get someone's address by providing the phone number. Or look in the phone book.

google a bit scary
The guy who designed it used to work for the NSA, so everytime you search for something it stores your IP and keyword in some NSA database.... Creepy.

Bah, all web traffic and phone calls and basically anything electronic are all scanned by the cia and nsa and data archived.. its been like this for a while. Thats how they catch some terrorists and stuff like that. Only thing is theres so much data that their staff can't sort through it all, so most gets overlooked unless the system flags it for some reason.
