Holy/Unholy word

Please reduce the damage done on this spell. Let's give a reason for good-aligned people to play.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.
Aremat group-says 'tanks i highly suggest investing 20 silver in training weapons from cm to cut down on the losing scales to shield'

Please don't reduce the damage on this spell as it IS the reason for good/evil clerics to play.

Make both unholy and holy 'stun' neutral players;)

increase the cast time? reduce its effects on players?
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

Instead of nailing neutrals on this one, why not just make to where holy word affects players/mobs on the basis of -1000 to 0 and 0 to 1000. That puts you close enough to the evil/neutral or neutral/good for me and won't make certain elements get nailed by both forms of spells.

Instead of making it more useless, make it affect neutrals. Possibly make druids exempt.. they are 'outside' the stuggle of good vs. evil.

I see a lot of people wanting to take away something from neutral aligned clerics however I don't see anyone offering to replace it with anything. Their ability to avoid this spell comes at the cost of not being able to cast it. If the benefits of the spell are not worth this ability then fix the spell (again) or remove it all together. As to Dalar's original topic (which really was not focused on clerics although the thread was hijacked in that direction), you'll also need to address the unbalanced quantity of aggro good/evil mobs, alignment hit in zones (SS anyone?) and !good equipment to really balance people's alignment out.

Uhmm, if you make the spell hit neutral, then you as a cleric should be good or evil in order to use it... right?

So if good and evil hit me as neutral... then I should get to cast a version of this spell that hits both good and evil in return? If the word of their god is enough to cause me pain then it would only make sence for the opposite to be true as well.

I had posted to explain why killing the spell doesn't increase anyone's want to be good align, but it doesn't matter. You guys do whatever. Really bad idea, but I'm not one of the few people who's opinion matters so I'll save you the time reading it.
