The Rebirth

Postby Nekelet » Sun Nov 27, 2005 9:51 am

With a tremendous shudder, the titanic body of Tiamat crashes down to the
ground, the five heads lying limp. There is a fell sense to the air, and
a moment later you see a faint miasma begin to drift up from the bloody fluid
flung throughout the chamber. Each cloud is drawn towards Tiamat's bulk,
the spiritual essence disappearing beneath her scales. Wounds begin to mend
rapidly, and the sinister dragon heads lift up from the floor slowly. You
feel queasy, like a vise is wrapped around your soul as part of your own life
essence is forcibly seized and used to fuel the rebirth of Tiamat.

Frantically, you try to cling to your life, watching with horrified eyes as Tiamat revives
herself with your mortal soul. Distantly, you feel a sharp pain as you fall to the ground,
your vision dimming to darkness as Tiamat rises again in her full majesty, the sinister
heads rising into the air and ROARING proudly as your life slips away.
Nekelet slumps to the ground, clutching at his chest briefly before his life force feeds
the rebirth of Tiamat.
You feel yourself falling to the ground.
Your soul leaves your body in the cold sleep of death...
--Hey, Look, I just regenerated a finger. Guess which one.

It's funny such a high level noob that run trigger to collect or possibly loot on R.I.P. rather than "You receive your share of experience." That's serious funny! I played 3 month and learned that already!

Shrug. In avernus it's still two 15 man groups as opposed to one. If you don't run the trigger on rip, then you're going to end up losing arrows.

Don't see a problem with collecting on RIP - It's not like he's going to get anything that doesn't belong to him.

Get * however... quite another story, but he's not doing that.

He's not looting a corpse, so what he's doing is really a smart move for a ranger in a zone, especially when zoning with other high level players. There are several reasons a mob might die to a non-grouped event in that situation. I can't count the number of times my BC daggers have stolen a kill, and in the spam it would be a lot easier for a ranger to base their collect trigger off the RIP line instead of the exp line, since they only collect their own arrows and not the arrows or loot of others.
