Any Cowboy Bebop fans?

Postby Zellin » Sat Apr 27, 2002 7:03 am

Since there are only 26 episodes of Cowboy Bebop goodness, and I've seen every episode several times now, has anyone heard when the movie is going to be released in the US? Cowboy Bebop information is soooooooo hard to find on the web. *cry*

Why don't you buy the DVD sets?

It's supposed to be released by Columbia/TriStar sometime this year. There was a bit mentioned about it in their press release for Metropolis I believe.

hey guys Image
i got the fansub of the movie (in divx) ...
hehe.. it's pretty cool Image
as far as the series go , it looked good but i didn't like it overall because of its episodic nature ... (which was the way they meant it to be)..

I really, really like evangelion, and kenshin ... both are really good.. yup!

but yea if you guys really like cowboy bebop, why not get the fansub of the movie?

I would get a fansub but I'm heavily attached to the english dub cast, best dub I've ever seen in an anime. I don't think I could handle it if the voices weren't right. I'm so spoiled.

btw, if anyone gets the lyrics of Green Bird (as they're sung, not their meaning), pls post 'em here. I've tried to find them and can't. The best I can approximate is:

Mary modu
iota ria

... I don't think that's right.

*Cringes at the thought of people missing out on Megumi Hayashibara as seiyuu of Faye Valentine* =) Fansub time! ^_^

I didn't like how it didn't flow as a series... it felt as if I was watching "filler episodes" and didn't even need to watch anything in order.

Kenshiiin! Orooo =) RK is excellent *hi5 Dyrxes* =)

I've read that a good portion of the lyrics in the series are actually just gibberish. Since I only speak one simple stupid english language I have no way to confirm this, but that may be the case with Green Bird. Sounds like gibberish to me, but I definitely hear Mary!

Actually, English is one of the hardest languages to learn if you're not native to it, or so I have heard.

Japanese is a bitch to learn too. Image

I also own the Cowboy Bebop series. As to Knockin On Heaven's Door(movie) I believe it's slated as early next year. As to the lyrics being gibberish...No. Here's the entry from animelyrics.com
http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/cbebop/greenbird.htm

Now, I have a question, what part of Cowboy Bebop is "Green Bird" played in? I recognize songs by how they sound, not name Image

Question: Cowboy Bebop is episodic but Kenshin isn't? Kenshin has tons of filler episodes!

Green Bird is played as Spike falls from the window at the end of Ballad of the Fallen Angels, Session 5.

I know the lyrics are mixed latin and stuff... but I never found out what they are. Thanks tho =)

And Zellin, I would add that the main point is it's a soft, slow song, and it's played just as the main character and the main villan have killed each other off (you think). You get to see his life flashing back before him and stuff. Properly played, it's moving.
