MUD Rule Modification
-It has been suggested that we allow rolling of new characters while playing a character in game. After discussion and thought, we have decided to change the current policy to make it an acceptable practice to do this. We will no longer consider rolling while playing to be multiplaying. We will allow 2 sockets to roll with and one active one to play with. This means 3 sockets. If you use more than 3 sockets, you will be asked to trim it down to two. If you are simply rolling w/o playing, the two socket guideline still applies. We will be modifying the 'help multiplay' helpfile accordingly.
-It has been suggested that we allow item stats to be posted and discussed fully. This old policy has been modified completely to allow the open discussion and posting of stats on equipment.
In addition, we are reviewing other similar policies to the two listed above. If you have suggestions for how or which rules to modify in this manner, please post them here and they will be reviewed.

I don't see why item stats is such a controversial issue with Kegor's bot being in game and Todrael's website.
It will be fixed in Toril 2.0.

I remember years ago we would all post the stats of items on the for sale board 1w and it was fine. It was a way for people buying the item to know wtf they were buying. I can't see anything wrong with posting stats in this regard. Questing information is totally different.

Arrow Reimbursement on Crashes is now allowed. If you lose arrows as the result of a crash, please send a mmail or petition with the numbers of arrows/types lost for a reimbursement.
Please note, you may be asked to provide at least a partial log showing the loss of arrows before a crash. Just a simple copy/paste at the time of the crash will usually suffice.
In the past, arrow reimbursements were not done, or were done randomly due to circumstances beyond just a simple crash. If you have any questions, please speak to me.

it is awesome beyond words that the staff is willing to realize the world and game and playerbase is changing and allow the rules to reflect those changes. much props.
