i see, when the real world title can be roleplayed its anouther exception to the rule. it does not matter that lord is also about as high as ranks get, higher even, as in say like, lord god. im glad we are willing to overlook things like that.
Toror en'Seorsa, ive seen alot of similar titles, i wonder about those too, pretty sure thats the elf language, but whut do they mean? how many words are they, i know Maker'f Mayhem was no go, i asked about that right after i was told my title did not fit the rules and i needed to change it.
come on, lighten up a little, all the current rules do is pop a whole lotta bubbles by banning whut i think are otherwise good and fitting titles, and im sure thats not the point
have a nice day
Turxx Krush Skul, Mayhem Lord or if you prefer Lord Mayhem or Mahem Overlord, etc, etc, etc....

omg rofl jegzed that was funny; rot in hell.
I wonder if "Northland Guardian" is a two or three word title. Is "Northland" really a word or is it actually two words? theres several other implications and rules i could probably make a half hearted attempt at saying it breaks, but it would just be stupid. that and it may not still be in the game, caught it off a post.
reinstate "maker of mayhem"

umm are you trying to say that queens arent heads of a family also? I've heard of very few instances when queens or kings were elected... maybe this is just semantics, but kings and queens are heads of families, lords and ladies are the male relatives who are not in the family of succession.
the way lord is being used here, "Undead Lord" and i see a new one in the same guild "Chaos Lord" is being used as a master over an element. Just as a king or queen is master over a kingdom, these titles claim mastery over far more.
so shall we nitpick more or shall we loosen the rules?
"Mistress of Shadow" yea that im sure will be nuked as soon as they catch her on. she plays about 1 hour a month so itll prolly stick for a while.

All that bright ANSI sucks.. and people still have stupid names, even with only two words allowed. If I came here as a newb now, I would probably leave after typing 'who'. Guild names should only be visible if you look at someone, like a badge, and titles should be reserved for those who write an RP story for it.

Wow, I agree with Cherzra.
I think guild badges would be cool. I would also think that you should be able to do a who assoc and see those people in associations though.
Who Shadows
Who Darkstorm
Who shades
Etc.
I think you should also be able to do a wh +assoc and it would do the who list with the associations listed as well as those without.
This would provide many options as to how you can search.
So if you were mad at all those "Raging Killers" and didn't want to grup with them you could get the who list and know who was in the assoc and not ask them to group with you (though I am sure this doesn't happen).
And if you didn't care to see all that ugly ansi you wouldn't have to. This from someone who definitely has to work on his title ansi.

Neither. You're the only one nitpicking, and doing a poor job of it. And maybe you've noticed, nothing has changed because of it
So shall we stop nitpicking and PTFG already?

I can't believe this thread lasted this long, of is no big deal, 3 letter titles are no big deal, especially the/of/is/do/me errr.. by no big deal i mean, they aren't necessary, can always rephrase a decent title to mean the same thing with 2 words, just like you did with mayhem maker... stop your pathetic whining now!... so i can whine more :P heh..

What surprises you, turxx? Sojourn is filled with BS that makes little sense, it ALWAYS has been. Its a good mud, and I love it truly, but there is a lot of BS, and a lot of bad rules interp. Talk to Aram, or at least you could, if "Aram" wasnt taken from him as a name becase its "a ram". IMHO, Aram is an awsome name for a paladin.
Oops, did I offend someone?
Well, thats my opinion, and I stated why. Im not flaming anything. I think that really important stuff gets skipped at times, and I think that at times, petty stuff like this happens. Who cares if Turxx wants to be maker of mayhem? I mean, WHO _REALLY_ cares if he has a 3 word title with an "of" in it? There are also a LOT of names out there that when pulled apart are two words, like Aram's was. I complement the gods and makers a lot when I think its deserving, but at the same time, I think that someone went over a ledge here.
Thats my opintion and I think im entitled to state it.

Just because the speed limit is 75 and I was doing 100, that's not wrong is it? Ask the cop who gives the ticket. Is the cop the bad guy because he upheld the law, or am I for doing 100 in a 75.
This is a ficticious situation, as I would never get caught doing 100, but the argument is sound. Its a rule, and if I break it, there is retribution. If I break it by enough, or enough times, they remove my sanction to drive, and if I get caught thereafter, they put me in jail.
All that was done here was an enforcement of the rule. Do I think the speed limit should be 75? Not necessarilly. If I choose to exceed it, do I deserve the consequences? Yes. Is the speed limit likely to be changed by me bitching to the cop, or the judge? NO. Are they less likely to want to "take it easy on me" if I bitch? Yes, they'll throw the book at me.
Has that been done to Turxx, no. The rule was simply enforced. I doubt that a courtroom full of friends complaining with me about the speed limit would have anything other than a contemptable effect on a judge.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm tired of the whining about the enforcement of the rules.
