How about this one...

I was listening to the radio this morning and there was some little news tidbit that caught my attention. I should really change the channel I wake up to, because sometimes the news gives me very unpleasant dreams in my half-awake stupor. Anyway, it seems that there was a fight at a hockey game... what's new, right? Well in this fight, a fellow from the audience came down and started hassling one of the fellows who was actually working the game. Fellow in the audience = 98 pound weakling, soaking wet. Fellow working the game = potential hulk. The fellow from the audience ended up dying from the altercation that ensued. Now, of course they're trying to paint the larger fellow as a brute, and the smaller, dead fellow as Mr. Mild Mannered. The picture being shown on the news of the little guy has him amongst his family members with a baby in his arms. What they DON'T say about the little fellow, is that he just finished serving 4 years in the pen for assault.

I really don't know all the details of the case, but that's not what I'm getting to. I was thinking of that whole "judge a book by its cover" thing. Have you ever been the victim of bad judgment simply because you looked some way that influenced people to think you would behave some way you haven't? Or perhaps not gotten a job because of your looks? I've spent many years in the theater, and at casting calls I prefer directors to come out and state that they're looking for particular physical types, instead of asking me to read a scene which has one line in it, then discounting me without even attempting to see what I'm capable of.

Didn't want to quote the whole thing, but I have a reply to both

I was reading about that hockey game on My Yahoo, and it didn't really go into too much detail, but I think the guy who died was the coach in the game, and the other guys son was playing in it... But then again, Yahoo almost ALWAYS gets their facts messed up...

And as for the second one... Hehehe... Story of my life

When I was in school, bullys' would pick on me 'cuz I was a "geek"... But I am a martial artist (Well, was before I hurt my knee, ya ya, so wasn't everyone... :>)

Oh... And actually... One of my favorites that occured at work last week... Hehe.
Now, I work in the IT department for CitiGroup TL&A.... So I dress nicely (Against my free will I might add...) and I was talking to someone on the smoke deck about something... I think it was religion, a topic which will get me going for hours (Heyy... There's an idea for this thread.... No, n/m, forget I said that) and another guy that kinda knew me, and knew I worked in IT was listening, and he says "You know, it's interesting listening to the two of you talk. You (he meant me) are a bright young man, and I haven't met very many your age that talk like you do. I guess a high school diploma and a college education make a difference, huh?"
Well... I made a very nasty remark back, it really pissed me off... For a couple reasons...
1) I'm 20
2) I dropped out of high school
3) I've never gone to college (Even tho I almost have an Associates degree, hehe, I love Tech schools :>)

This will never get anywhere if'n ye don't add some heated topics for discussion!

Invokers need a spell to lower MR on other mobs, we are useless now cuz most mobs resist everything!

Power word kill should be invocation or at least upgraded cuz only invokers get it...then maybe it will work.

Titles are far too common and should belong to lvl 50 only.

Rogues need downgraded xp tables, they lvl too fast.

Rangers do too much damage with archery, take away ranged.

Blocking code needs to be used more often...everywhere...
