New Tool Album

Postby Jaeron » Mon Apr 30, 2001 7:17 pm

I finally got the first song on the new Tool album, and I gotta say.. it's awesome. I was worried they would sound like Perfect Circle this time around, but they sound like Tool. (Not that Perfect Circle would be bad, they're an awesome band, and I am looking forward to their new album only slightly less then this Tool Album, I just don't want two Perfect Circles, and no Tool)

Anyone else hear it yet? Schism is the name of the track.

Salright....

Not a huge tool fan, but I am into that "style" you might say... pick up the Disturbed album if you don't have it yet... like a cross between Static-X(kick ass band) and Godsmack(another kick ass band).

Static-X on the 8th baby!!!!!.

Oh and I've had the disturbed album for quite some time. Another good album. I've got the new Megadeth album, I wasn't that impressed, and finally, the new Fear Factory was satisfactory. I'm sure I'll like it more as time goes on.

ok, now your scaring me... you can't put Megadeath and Fear Factory into the same boat as Static-X, Disturbed, Nothingface, Mudveyne and all those pieces of joy...

That is like putting Barry Manilow with Pantera....

Your old!

Okay so Pantera is a new band I guess old man?! I group Disturbed with Linkin Park, Godsmack, Mudveyne, Papa Roach, etc.. I haven't named it yet, but it's heavy rock. Not heavy metal. Tool is nothing like Disturbed or Static X, or heavy metal like Slayer, Fear Factory, Pantera, etc.. Tool is industrial metal.

Tool = Industrial Rock... so you would place them in the same boat as NIN, Front 242 and those?

I would put Godsmack, Disturbed and those in the same boat as hmmm... I don't know either... maybe we should come up with something for them.

Pantera OWNZ j00!

duh du du du duh du du du duh du du du duh du du du duh.... RE.......SPECT......WALK...

hehe... see ya later on bro.

I'm big fan of Tool, downloaded schism...didn't care for it. It didn't grab me like just about every song on Aenima did.

Too bad. I hope the rest of the CD is better.

Hehe I would consider pantera kinda old. Cowboys from Hell came out in like 90 or 91. I actually prefer music that doesn't all sound the same which rules out most of this stuff. I used to like Tool but they have pretty much put out the same album 3 or 4 times now but the lyrics are always intresting. Is it me or does the singer from Mudvayne sound like Phil from Pantera at least on the song Dig he does to me anyway. I will check out the new Tool album to give it a shot though. Downloading most of it from napster right now hehee

Is the new CD out yet, or is the song just available for download?

Looked at Best Buy but didn't see any new TOOL titles yet.

New Tool comes out May 15th. New Static X is May 8th I've heard, and new Megadeth is May 15th.
