Is this a bug?
Those rogue mobs are tricky. I remember once trying to backstab a cat burglar, it went something like this:
A cat burglar makes a strange sound as you place a dark steel dirk in his back!

The only thing I can think of to explain that scenario is basically we ran up and hugged each other, whilst holding our blades.

Is it me or mob healing faster ???
4 group team .... one team mate wearing illuminating item. Pass by a dark room and infra red kick in ... type "l" and i see the mob ... is this a bug ???
Night time ... infra red kick in ... just for the fun of it ... i type "hit rat" (mob i've been chasing) and guess what i hit it is this a bug ???
rebooted and i end up in the same place as before ... aren't i supposed to end up at the inn or the last place i camp ???
morted mob got up and hit me even though i have vicious on ... ????

Yes, mobs seem to be healing a slight bit faster, especially when disengaged.
If your friend has an illuminating item, then what's so weird about seeing the mob?
Infravision makes it so that the foes look like different sized forms. I was unaware that they stopped responding to their regular names.
You only return to the inn or last camp spot when the mud crashes. The reboots leave you where you were.
This one ties into your first point. Despite mobs being morted, they seem to be healing rather rapidly, so perhaps he healed enough to fight again. It could also be a timing issue.
I know once I hit a cleric type mob with two backstabs, the latter blade covered with minor paralysis poison. The cleric nearly dies, gets paralyzed, and then worded. I found the place it worded to and it was still paralyzed...just a strange occurance.

People in your group walk into a room in different orders. If the person in your group who was illuminating was the leader, this problem wouldn't happen. If you entered the room before the 'illuminator', it would appear as if dark..then the 'illuminator' would enter the room and it would be perfectly light again.
