Disclaimer!

Postby belleshel » Fri Apr 26, 2002 6:26 pm

How about putting a disclaimer when you first login.
THIS IS A GAME.
Many people have seem to forgotten this important fact.
If you are not having fun, don't play for awhile (or ever). Don't ever think this game owes you anything.
Belle

It's amazing what people will do for a piece of temporary ansi text (just think about that for a few minutes).

Considering how few people seem to read bbs posts before responding to them, I somehow doubt adding this to the Sojourn disclaimer would have much effect Image

1) My marriage is on the rocks
2) I don't make as much money as I could
3) My hygiene leaves a lot to be desired
4) My health is failing.
5) Im becoming more bitter and juvenile by the day.
6) Im losing touch with reality!

And remember folks, he who dies w/ the most toys..... is STILL DeAd! :P

If you take life too seriously, you'll just die bitter and disappointed. Smell the roses, and if forced to the hygenically challenged. Enjoy life! If the MUD (game) isn't giving you that, find something that does.

When was the last time you called hanging out with your friends at the bar or going to a movie a "game". While yes there are significant differences, the relationships are very real as are the people on the other side of the characters. this is as much of a game as going to work is.

you go to work, hang out with your friends/co workers, put in your time and sometimes get paid.

Your in a similar pay bracket at work to what you get at Sojourn? OMG, I hope it is a very personally rewarding job that provides non stop fun and a gaggle of lovable characters! :P

I hear all the staff and SS/Jot Goats chipped in and got $6 to get Gormal to join the navy, is this true?

i dunno, but yea i suppose so. all the "in" folks (managers, vps, ceos) get paid bucks and sometimes the grunts get a bonus.

my problem has always been i don't like being someone's bitch and i rarely back down.

regarding gormal, nah recruiters are the devil. they told gormal goats drop their shorts for seaman.

Gods, would you please lock this thread?

It is obvious Belleshel is trying to start a flame war. All he does is complain about everything anyway. Oh, and can you delete Rylan too? Thanks!

Elven envy, It always rears its ugly head when dwarves and hoomans are about...

Dornax (I wish I was a Grey Elf) stands here.
Rylan (So envious of Greys it hurts) slobers here.

If I wanted to be an elf, I'd just dress up in a frilly outfit, use a lisp and flirt with guys.

It is enough for a dwarf to consider suicide!

Dornax only took me into Imphras because I caught him prancing around in a wooded glen one day, dressed in green tights and a dryad's gown. He was singing in his best falsetto over and over "I feel pretty, oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and briiiiight!" Between verses he would swat at the plants and say things like "Don't make me wave my fairy wand at you, you nathty thang."

He made me swear not to tell, but I felt the truth had to come out.

Belle you rule, Ashiwi you rock
and many other positive superlatives for Dornax Toplack Twyl Shevy and Yayaril. I would actually be able to think of those words if it wasn't 6 am and if i had actually slept.
But no, it is 6am and I have been awake since 5am yesterday

*rambling on* Goo'night! *snore*

Agree Kiryan, Dornax' waving that fairy wand at the marigolds while dressed as a sunflower was obviosly an attempt to steal their petals under duress of sorts, to further his own delightful scent!
*yikes*

If anyone has ever seen 'The Score' with Deneiro and Norton...

I so picture most mudders to be like the geek Deneiro's character used to crack the security codes... "I'm on the phone bitch!"

(To his mom... was hilarious)

The MoriSpank meme appears to gain strength from a sudden chill around it.
