Top 5 Features You'd Like To See
If any of these have been done already, my apologies.
1) Corpses remain lit if they have lit eq showing on examine.
2) World load mobs are limited to places that would make senes for them to be.
3) Multiple consents. Consent Verarb, consent Weylarii, consent ashiwi Which ever one find corpse can drag it.
4) Either put items back in the game, or take all existing copies of them out. If the quest/fight/whatever was too easy for the item, or the item was too strong, fix the whole thing, not just keeping newer people from getting it.
5)Build in multiple ways to get restrings. I like the idea of 1 for 50, 1 for RP title story, etc. Restrings dont make an impact on the overall power of items, they simply make characters more unique.

Add natural disastors. If some one dies holding a lantern it would be cool if it started a forest fire. Maybe a tornado that goes through and whips out mobs and pc's alike who are not sheltered. Maybe an earthquake or mudslide. How about a flood near the rivers and lakes once in a while. Make people sandbag to keep the water out. hehe.

I have to agree on the removing of anonymous.
All it's used for, is people powerleveling alts, or when they don't want to group with anyone else. It's lame and it really HURTS the mud. There is no BENEFIT to it besides 'roleplaying' and this is negligible when compared to how it hurts the pbase, most people who roleplay even want to be seen.
Yes, I'm convinced it is bad for the mud. The only time people are anon at 40+ is because they only want to hang with their 'clique' or when powerleveling a friend, and below that level it is always to powerlevel themselves and keep the group as small as possible.
If you don't want to group or talk and be antisocial, the only option you should have is to toggle tell. At least that way everyone will plainly know you are an ass. Wait, maybe we need a new flag - antisocial. Toggle antisocial: "I do not group with newbies, you will not get into my zone clique, you will not get any help from me whatsoever, I am shortsighted and don't give a damn that in the long run I am ruining the mud." Displayed behind one's name, like (RP).

as someone with gate/relo and you are anon there is a reason
for me w/ssosset i go anon when i am trying to figure something out in a place it would take me 20+minutes to get back to...

Ah the never ending good / evil debate has provided endless amusement for us all has it not? Both sides have a different mentality, evils appear to me as a closer nit group of people who expect a higher standard of play out of each other. Goodies are a broader group of people that cross group frequently and to me appear more easy going.

5. When checking the "who grouped" list, perhaps an option to sort the people into groups, and have a sepparator bar in between each group. This would help when trying to find an existing group to get into.

I think this thread has been beaten into the ground and doubt this will be anything new...but here goes...
Put in racial / learned languages.
i.e. humans start with common....drow with drow...and so on...To keep non-role players happy i'd still make a base language that everyone understands (status quo). However, for the people who just want to roleplay.. allow them to speak and learn different languages.

when i got to level 40, the things that the evilrace PLAYERS did, not the code sent me back to sit at the WD fountain.

Oh yeah, first on the list should be the ability to open a stinking door when fighting. I just love dying due to untimely repop and door shutting w/o an echo to let you know your SOL. If you can cast in the heat of battle, or rescue etc, you certainly could have the mentality to turn a knob..or I'd hope anyway
Hey Daz, they you probably rolled a troll warrior. The last thing we need is another of those, and frankly your chances of going to a zone are near to nothing. Secondly, how long did you give it a try? You just waited to be asked for a zone, or did you try to lead things yourself? Same for xp... things usually don't happen unless you take the initiative yourself.
Actually, how about making hungry/thirsty show up in a status screen somewhere? I miss the messages for it alot... That way we could check before we started memming and such.

Ok, so I opted for 4x the amount requested, just cause I haven't spouted off my thoughts lately!
1. Make haste actually age you 1 year each time it is cast (like it's supposed to be!), but give it a slight longer duration to compensate. (6 hours - 1 day max)
2. Fix Darkhold Keep, or remove it.
3. Remove MR, and put in prot specific resistances instead, with the plus or minus indicating the % of damage reduction (or increase!) from those type spells. (+1 resistance_to_fire, -2 resistance_to_lightning, +2 resistance_to_good, +2 resistance_to_shadow, etc)
4. Downgrade all defense spells by 25%, tweak warrior skills to compensate partially, so that zones become difficult again.
5. Balance Acheron so rogues can't pwn everyone, and casters/psi's have at least a fighting chance of owning warriors (yes that means downgrading melee and defensive skills, and upgrading spells/psionics!)
6. Someone fix and finish all of Undermountain.
7. Waterdeep needs an upgrade.
8. Menzo.
9. Someone make Oakvale a little more desirable to do as a zone or for quests. :P
10. Move liches' hometown somewhere else!
11. Where's Bahamut?
12. Where's Tiamat?
13. Make weapons and eq break so the wandering craftsman can get upgraded and get his own store in each city. (plat sink! Cost to fix an item = 10x the value of the item as statted in ID) :P
14. Balance/tweak clouds eq so I don't have to hear goodies whining about it!

That code actually exists and I have used it for that purpose. I believe it 'broke' at some point during alpha and may still need to be fixed (will look into it)

3) Finish design of secret code #soj30069 and announce it to players

That code actually exists and I have used it for that purpose. I believe it 'broke' at some point during alpha and may still need to be fixed (will look into it)

1) Allow alts to be able to use acc but w/o titles (limit it to 2 alts?)
2) A "Who classify" such that it lumps all clerics together, all druids, all rangers and so on, useful for rescue lists and vit lists

3. Upgrade Yuan-Ti class. What genius intelligence? !trip or harder to trip. harder to bash. Take away 'clambers to their feet' and other actions involving feet or legs.

1. I should NEVER run into a squirrel or a rabbit or small shrub-dwelling animal in any mode/form of travel. Just an annoyance that makes no sense.
2. Prioritizable med list would be nice.

Something to note on that: You have a significant amount of control over which areas are condensed, so you could easily condense the spell messages without condensing melee at all.

Hmmm lets add some 2 coppers worth.
1) Downgrade Archery some... (I have a 35th level Dire Raider that does nothing but Archery...and she just goes ballistic when the mob is low enough for her to hit. I exp 3x faster then rest of group if i using bow. Not to mention some intresting afire, flee, enter, afire flee stuff i been doing)
2) Upgrade dodge and parry for warrior types, but don't excede rogues
3) Racewars?
4) !Evilrace !Goodrace eq, would eleminate alot of disgruntlment.
5) !anon
6) Who category (priest) (mage) (fighter) (etc)
7) glist staying even when leader dies
8) Mounts tanking
9) Max_stat eq that actually does something, other then int or wis
10) +luck items that actually have an effect, or at least a hint to what the effect does

I wouldn't mind players having a "grouping" flag they could toggle on or off. This way, if someone is looking for a group they could use a "who group" command or something along those lines to see these players and know that they are interested in grouping. Or perhaps a "who group zone" command or that would show players in your zone that are interested in grouping.

4)Mobs of size 'tiny' should not block a 1way.
5)Remove some of the slowdowns in the game, like ferries, things of that nature. Let us fly over em. Also flying on the oceans could be good. Leaves room for alot of new zones and mobs out there instead of cramming in a zone every 19 rooms.
6)Someone finish neverwinter, and for gods sakes take out the agro piles of leaves, its just silly to think that every merchant or traveler to neverwinter would have to deal with them, eventually someone would hunt them all down.

10)Mud pregnancy? Would be funny as hell if someone went into labor in scrops.

2) Please, when guildhalls are put in allow two guild chests. One accessable only by officers and the other by everyone. That is the only way their will ever be decent eq in that chest. To many twinks.

4) The good old "finger" command. Allow individuals to sign up all their current characters, and past, so you can "finger pofas" and find out that he is also Kaf/Cukilikan/Marforp/Neq/Sasdor/Mfal/etc....
Other great ideas are in this thread, but the first three should take very little work and really help the players.

1) I know stances got shot down before.. but even an offensive/defensive posture would be kinda cool.. either gain a lil hit/dam and +ac or defensive -hit/dam -ac
2) I wish atleast 1 or 2 of my more commonly played alts could use/see acc.. would help..
3) dragging corpses while flying would be neat-o.. don't see why we can't..
4) Tiamat... i wanna slay tiamat.. (or is that back in and im just out of the loop? :P )
5) is there a minimum load to some zones that have random load? Because ive done swamps of meleich and ET a couple of times when we get almost nothing at all.. and they are both slightly difficult.. esp. swamps of meleich.. unless you have a really good group there is high spank potential and possibility of there being like nothing ok ok.. zones are fun to do even w/o eq.. but still its nice to have that too :P
