Character Class Combo
What would be the best race/class combo for a solo player?
Whatever you won't get bored at...
Seriously it just depends upon how you like to solo stuff and what level of stuff you want to solo. If you don't want to wait a LONG time between battles you have to have the ability to heal or not be engaged on the mob (read last part as elementalist / necro).
The easiest to solo into the 40's, but have difficulty going solo beyond, would be a troll warrior.
The traditional soloing class is probably shaman due to stone/heal/pet/spell damage. Closely behind shaman would be druid...lacks the ability to stone, but gains significantly more spell damage while in nature rooms. They also have a few spells that if used right can make some things much easier.
Race matters very little when soloing because you are on your own time not group time and even an extra 20-30 sec of meming wouldn't really matter.
Finally, if your looking to just solo one mob then take a nice long break to regen those hp enchanter and illusionist can really start rolling.
I saved elementalist and necros for last. Great potential soloing things, but requires more skill then shamans/druids to do so. Shamans/druids the theory is fairly simple. Go in engage mob stay as long as possible and then leave to heal and prepare for round 2. With elementalists and necros instead you must have strategy and instead of mindlessly engaging yourself you must instead pay attention to your pets and let them do 1/2 - 95% of the work.

If I let my pet do 90% of the work as an elementalist its gonna be a loooooong fight. But I'll go up against anyone when it comes to soloin and bet lots that an elementalist can do it better.

I concur, I do about 101% of the work, concidering that my air/fire elemental will just stand there mindlessly until I order it to engage, then it's just a matter of PWB... then nukage... which I dare say can put some serious hurt on mobs. (Whirlwind is a blast of fresh air) those mobs won't know what hit em...
So, to all you druids and enchanters(even you Muma) out there... NUTZ!
Soon as I hit my mid 40's I'll try getting pwned in the arena.
